I was born by the Tana river on the Finnish side during WWII.

My family owned a small farm in a community of only Sámi people. I went to Vuovdaguoika primary school, a school without Sámi lectures at the time. I am a primary school teacher, but I have not worked as a teacher for about five years now. I have written approximately 20 books, and all of them are in Sámi. I have written youth and children’s books, poems, novels, short stories, theatre scripts, and I have also been an actor myself. I administered the publishing company Gielas, and the theatre Rávgoš in ca. 1990.
